One person, who will stay with your case from this message to your last follow-up appointment. Not a call centre, not a queue, and not a form that disappears into a system. You will get a reply within one business day, and if we cannot help you, we will say so plainly.
A care coordinator reads every message and replies within one business day. Send as much or as little as you like: the condition, how long you have waited, and any imaging you already have. No referral needed, no obligation, and nothing is booked until you have seen a written quote and agreed to it.
Thank you. A care coordinator will contact you within one business day. Need us sooner? Call (289) 203-8077.
No mystery, and no chasing. Here is the sequence, and roughly how long each part takes.
A coordinator reads your message and comes back to you within one business day, by whichever method you prefer.
We collect your imaging and reports, and arrange any scan you still need rather than sending you back to a queue.
A sub-specialist reviews your case and speaks with you directly, usually by secure video, typically within days.
A single written, all-inclusive figure, with the exclusions named. Nothing is booked until you say yes to it.
A few things worth knowing, so that your first message does as much work as possible.
Whatever you have, and do not worry if that is nothing. Useful things include any imaging reports (X-ray, ultrasound, MRI or CT), letters from specialists you have already seen, and a short description of your symptoms and how long they have gone on. If you have imaging on a disc or a patient portal, tell your coordinator and they will handle getting it. If you have never been scanned at all, that is fine too, and for some conditions it is not needed before the first conversation.
Yes. Your health information is handled confidentially and shared only with the people directly involved in arranging and delivering your care, such as your surgeon and the facility, and only with your consent. It is not sold, and it is not used for anything other than your care and the coordination of it. You can read the detail in our privacy policy, and you can ask your coordinator anything about it at any point.
No. Getting in touch commits you to nothing at all. You can have the conversation, hear what a surgeon thinks, receive a written quote, and decide against the whole thing. Plenty of people do exactly that, and some of them do it because we told them they did not need surgery. Nothing is booked, and nothing is charged for an operation, until you have seen the number and said yes to it.
ACCESS is not an emergency service and this form is not monitored around the clock. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. That includes severe abdominal pain that will not settle, a hernia that has become hard and painful and cannot be pushed back in, and any loss of bladder or bowel control alongside back pain, which can indicate a spinal emergency. For anything that is genuinely pressing but not an emergency, call us rather than filling in the form, and say that it is urgent.
Yes. Our facilities are in Ontario and Quebec, and our patients come from every province and territory in the country. Travelling within Canada for privately funded surgery is a legitimate, well-established pathway, and coordinating that journey is exactly what we do: the flights, the accommodation, the timing, and the follow-up back home. We also work with uninsured and international patients. Read more about how it works.
Some things are easier said than typed, particularly if you have been putting this off for a while. Call us, and you will speak to a person.
