Rather than post a range that may have nothing to do with your situation, ACCESS reviews your imaging and history and gives you one written, all-inclusive quote covering the surgeon, anesthesia, the facility and our coordination. Nothing is booked until you have that number and you are comfortable with it. Financing options and the CRA Medical Expense Tax Credit may also apply, and your coordinator will walk you through both.
Yes. Canada's rules on private surgery differ from province to province, and the right of a patient to travel within their own country for care is well established. When you travel to another province for privately funded surgery you are exercising a legitimate, long-standing right, and coordinating that journey is exactly what ACCESS does. There is nothing to hide and nothing to work around. We serve patients in every province and territory, and we handle the travel, the accommodation and the follow-up back home.

Consultations are often available within days, and surgery is frequently scheduled within two to four weeks of that consultation. Your exact timeline depends on the procedure, your medical readiness and surgeon availability. For a small number of procedures, moving fast is not actually in your interest, and we will say so. An ACL reconstruction, for example, does better when the knee has been calmed down and strengthened first.
